I am trying to use the Additional Results teststand step to log an Array element (which is a cluster of numeric values) after it is iterated through a for loop. The problem is that I want the value to be displayed as in HEX format not decimal. So instead of logging "2015" in the report I want it to log "0x7DF" Instead. See my current step settings below:

Any idea how to force the step to log these numeric values in hex format?

Hello, I am new with TestStand(TestStand 2019 32 bit). I just want to ask on how to implement calling of sequence dynamically?

In my case, I have my test Order( Test id's from 1,2,3....). It is predefined already before start of test, what I want to know is how to call a specific sequence/actions in reference to my Test Order.

For ex:

Pre defined Test Order

Test 1-- Call sequence #1

Test 2--Call sequence #2

Test 3--Call sequence #3

Test 5--Call sequence #5

J'ai actuellement des test Teststand qui font appel a des fonctions d'une Dll CVI Labwindows.

J'aimerai pouvoir scruter tout le fonctionnement de Teststand, avoir la datation de tout les steps de Teststand en envoie et/ou en réception, tracer chaque événement de Teststand temporellement a la micro seconds près.

J'en ai besoin pour une comparaison de timing précis entre des tests sous Teststand 2.0 et Teststand 2010.

I currently have Teststand tests that use functions from a Dll CVI Labwindows.

I would like to be able to scrutinize all the functioning of Teststand, to have the dating of all the steps of Teststand in sending and / or in reception, to trace each event of Teststand temporally to the nearest microseconds.

I need it for a precise timing comparison between tests under Teststand 2.0 and Teststand 2010.

Hi, cross-posting this from Continuous Integration Group as I am not sure where it fits better.

I am trying to run a Sequence Analyzer from command line and it does work, but I can't find a way to point it to a sequence file folder nor workspace using parameter or a relative path or anything really. The only way I see is to hard-code paths in to the project. Am I missing something?

I'm using this command:

start /wait "" "%teststand%\Bin\AnalyzerApp.exe" MyAnalyzerProject.tsaproj /analyze /report /save /clearMessagesOnSave /quit

I have a store procedure that update values into an sql server database. The store procedure return a table with the values that have been updated. In a TestStand's sequence, how can I get the output values of a store procedure ?

I have a TestStand system which generates debug messages as OutputMessages from compiled code modules (LabVIEW PPLs / dll's etc). I need to save the OutputMessages to a file at the end of execution.

I am unable to find a reference to OutputMessages, I am aware of the CopyMessagesToCollection method once I have the aforementioned reference. I cannot do this is in a user interface as that is locked down too and I only have control over the top level sequence.

I am wondering if there is a way to publish string result into semiconductor multi test step?

or, do i need to create a dedicated step to publish a string result?

by the way, it's multi-site test configuration using Batch model.

The existing Numeric multi test step that i have publishes multiple parameters within it and it publishes a current time to date and time.

what i want to do is publishing date into string format. appreciated any advice.

Hi there,

I'm using TS2019 but wrapped in the Simple C#.Net example wrapper. I want the final pass/fail result to be embedded in the C# form and do not want the standard TS pass/fail popup to occur.

I've got PostUIMessageEx working so can pass parameters from TS to C# which can then indicate in my GUI the final result, however I cannot find any method of disabling the final TS status popup. Is it possible to disable or bypass in some way?

I am a new user on teststand and learning dynamic seq creation function now, I want to store the build seq file to specific folder in the PC with teststand API, But the property of folder is always kept on "Read only" even I changed the property manually. There is run-time error "Access Denied". So I want to know if it is possible to change the property of folder with teststand API? And how to fix it?

Hello

I am using Teststand 2014 and i want to send a message to the UI if a step fails. So, i use the SequenceFilepoststepFailure callback. But the problem is that this callback not only fires when the step fails but also when the sequence fails where the failed step is in. So, it fires twice. Is there a way to let the callback fire only on the step and not on the sequence the step is in ?

Hello,

i am using the IVI drivers for my USB instruments and added them to NI MAX

Means i have a logical name and a driver session.

In the testplan i am using the logical name for the init function.

This is working fine.

Now the problem:

The USB instrument is changing every day and i have to change always the "Hardware Asset" in the DriverSession.

For USB the resource descriptor is always different and cannot be set to the same value as for LAN instruments.

So my question is: How can i automate this? Is there a way to enable more than one HardwareAsset for the DriverSession and the one that is avalable is taken?

I am creating a .NET DLL for use within TestStand and I have added inline documentation (output as an XML file by VisualStudio)

Is there a way for TestStand to load the documentation and show it as the user selects the .NET methods, a bit like IntelliSense in VisualStudio?

I'm hoping to make an update to my companies process model to use the Offline Results Processing Utility but only when the network is down or the database is otherwise unavailable.The problem is the Offline Results Processing Utility seems to run every time causing two data-sets to be pushed if the database is up. Is there a way I can use the process model to control rather or not the Offline Results Processing Utility is used?
